GERMANY
Harnessing Göttingen’s intellectual vibrancy—home to 44 Nobel laureates—FREIgeist Hotels provide enriching experiences. A creative hub for the curious, FREIgeist Göttingen Innenstadt’s public spaces pulse with street-like vibrancy, featuring art inspired by Basquiat, a herbarium bar with drinks crafted from ingredients from the vertical garden, and green areas that connect the hotel to the vibrant cultural sector. This includes the Knowledge Forum next door where guests can explore exhibitions on knowledge creation, interactive tours, and family-friendly exhibitions. Young visitors can also try kid-friendly sushi variations at the hotel’s Japanese-South American restaurant, INTUUU.

The FREIgeist Göttingen Nordstadt, located in the heart of the new Sartorius Quarter, augments the town’s social feel by serving as a gathering spot with a mix of Levantine and Italian cuisine at East of Italy, the Weights and Measures bar, the Skybar, and a neighborhood kitchen where both guests and long-term residents can cook. The hotel’s Italian delicatessen, Viani Alimentari, offers family-friendly cooking classes and tastings. Just a short walk from the city center encircled by medieval ramparts, the hotel offers access to unique museums like the European Bread Museum and the Wilhelm-Busch-Mühle, which brings the classic children’s story “Max and Moritz” to life. Beyond museums, visitors can explore Göttingen’s botanical garden and a trampoline park.

SWITZERLAND
Urbanity and nature blend beautifully at the family-friendly Rocksresort in Laax. Finished in rough-hewn stone, the cubic exterior of this hotel complex succeeds at blending in with its environment, while also standing as a bold design statement. The resort’s buildings house holiday apartments, shops, restaurants, and bars set around a central square. Summer offers a plethora of activities, including a cycling pump track, a surf wave for skateboards or BMX bikes, a ninja warrior park, and a treetop zipline. Nearby, children can delve into a wild bee paradise, learn skating at the Freestyle Academy, or discover local flora and fauna at Ami Sabi Wonderland. The resort’s apartments provide ample flexibility for families, featuring fully equipped kitchens and quality living spaces.

GREECE
Choosing from the many stunning Greek islands can be challenging, but Crete stands out as a top choice for families, especially with the allure of Cretan Malia Park. This striking modernist, family owned resort celebrates the island's architectural heritage amidst lush botanical gardens. Cretan Malia Park offers a rich program that includes fitness and meditation retreats, Greek coffee rituals, pop-up garden dinners, Cretan cooking classes, and sessions for wine and olive oil tasting. For children, the resort provides a diverse range of activities such as crafts, cooking, gardening, and mythology lessons, along with an outdoor cinema and a library. The resort also features dedicated family accommodations, boasting well-appointed, flexible spaces suitable for everyone.

MALDIVES
When an island property has its own resident marine biologist to ensure that the pristine flora and fauna—even the baby turtles sprinting to the ocean—are preserved in their full splendor, then you know you have entered a rare world. Set in a UNESCO-protected biosphere, seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives is a stunning tropical paradise. The resort serves as a spectacular base for activities such as scuba diving, underwater scootering, wakeboarding, parasailing, and participating in coral restoration through sponsoring a coral tree. The comprehensive weekly children’s program includes snorkeling with the in-house marine biologist, yoga, sand art, fishing, and more. Family-friendly villas are ideally positioned on the beach, offering direct access to soft, powdery sands and the sparkling Indian Ocean.

INDONESIA
Cap Karoso seamlessly blends open-air living with luxury in its villas. The resort centers around its expansive three-hectare organic farm, which supplies fresh produce to the three restaurants housed within both traditional huts and modernist structures across the property. With a commitment to local flavors and techniques, the resort offers guests a deep dive into traditional activities such as fishing, ikat weaving, and horseback riding on Sumbanese sandalwood horses. Additional wellness options include yoga, meditation, and spa treatments utilizing local shamanic practices. For younger guests, the kids' club provides educational and engaging activities like stargazing with telescopes and hands-on farming experiences.
