Press Release
Design Hotels releases first Art Print Series
More than a momento
Berlin, February 25, 2021 – Keeping that travel flame aglow, we've tapped some of our very own talented photography teams to bring our most adored imagery to intrepid adventurers missing the open road. Robbie Lawrence, Claus Brechenmacher & Reiner Baumann, and Björn Ceder have contributed three prints that collectively speak to the power of visionary architecture in sublime settings, ever underscored by heartfelt hospitality. With these beautifully printed images, glance into the serenely minimalist portals of Setouchi Aonagi in Japan, Tsingpu Tolou Retreat in China, and Vora in Greece. store.designhotels.com

Over the years we’ve had the good fortune to work with some supremely inspired photographers who’ve not only visually captured our hotels around the world, but have also helped us tell the stories of our hoteliers and their place in the world. Mystical and moody, these three images (Format 30 × 45 cm incl. white margin, blind embossing), printed in Germany on 308 g/sqm paper work as stand-alone art works, or as a poetic triptych, united in their tones and ethereal wonder.

Ksenia Starikova, Design Hotels VP of Brand Experience, said, “Design Hotels has always celebrated standout creatives; whether it be the Originals behind each of our member hotels, the interior designers and architects that craft every project, or the photographers who capture the work of these visionaries. With our first art print series we are honoring those visual collaborators who have always captured the essence of our members in a beautiful way — with the aim to develop the series as we continue to explore new artistic and design ventures.

We've joined forces with these visual collaborators to donate 100% of the profits of our first 20 prints sold to Weforest, an initiative we are passionate about. WeForest empowers communities to sustainably advance and implement innovative, high-standard, scalable, and lasting solutions to restore forest landscapes.

The prints can be purchased from our online store: store.designhotels.com
Individual prints retail at 85 euro (excluding frame and shipping)

ABOUT DESIGN HOTELS

Design Hotels represents and markets a curated selection of over 330 independent hotels in more than 60 countries across the globe. More than a collection of hotels, the company is a collection of stories. Each property reflects the ideas of a visionary hotelier, an "Original", someone with a passion for genuine hospitality, cultural authenticity, thought-provoking design and architecture. Each "Original" stands for the individual, aesthetic and service-driven experience that his or her hotel provides.

In 2017, Design Hotels launched Further, a traveling laboratory for experiential hospitality that transforms hotels across the globe into temporal hubs of thematic exploration. The mission behind Further aligns with the values of the future-facing Promad, a new generation of traveler embracing progressive travel and global nomadism. First identified by Design Hotels in collaboration with leading futures consultancy The Future Laboratory, the purpose-driven, self-actualizing Promadic movement is set to shape the future of hospitality.
